Strengthening Stark had the privilege of sharing our Stark Career Connect program at a meeting in SE Canton. On September 14, Habitat facilitated a conversation with several neighbors and community leaders. While the intent of the meeting was to discuss employment opportunities, we also learned other neighborhood areas of concern. Follow-up meetings will continue with this neighborhood to increase our understanding of their needs and support. We are proud to partner with Habitat, working with the neighborhood residents of Neighborhood Renewal Projects on upskilling and workforce development after they are settled into their newly built or repaired homes.
Strengthening Stark participated in a team build day on September 23rd with Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio. After our original task of siding a home in Massillon was held off due to weather, our team of staff and partners quickly pivoted to hang drywall for a future homeowner in SE Canton!
